The Invention Of The Skirt

Can I just say, I love skirts?  There are skirts for all types of people, in all types of colors.  It's amazing!  Unfortunately I don't think girls take advantage of skirts like they should.  I don't see nearly enough cute skirt/shirt combos.   I'm sure more guys will see your femininity if you're wearing an adorable outfit.  A skirt just says, 'Lady'.  Who doesn't want guys seeing them as ladies?  Beautiful, independent, self-respecting ladies. (:  Some people say that girls wearing skirts is like lowering yourself, but seriously we have the awesome gift of cute skirts so why not wear them?!  The only things being subjected are guys, to your amazingness. ;)  So there, all you people who like to stomp ladies' rights to be feminine!

So I put together some adorable outfits that I would so wear and actually have myself. (:  I personally like to go for the longer more knee length skirts.  Mini shirts make me paranoid, I mean,... there's always going to be wind, even if it's from one of those gosh darned sidewalk vents, and if your skirt is longer then it's safer. xP  Plus there's more cuteness to show if there's more of it. ;)  Some of these pictures are mini skirts but really they'd look just as cute a bit longer.  but these are the outfits that I love and would like to throw out there as we're getting into the spring season. (:

I love this look, with the ruffle skirt and sweater it's simple but it really is a sweet outfit.  The belt really pulls it together, (:

Adorable.  I live in the South so this is the perfect outfit for a Saturday night at a dance hall. (:        Just slip on some boots and go scootin' xP

This outfit is really sweet for a shopping day or maybe a casual movie date. (:

So, I love this outfit, but I'd have to say I'd go without the tights.  Either way, this is super sweet for a dinner with family or friends and if you're going somewhere.  Again, a very Southern outfit that would look great with boots. (:

Alright, so I travel all the time, I take road trips, I fly.  Pretty much everything and something that goes along hand in hand with traveling is being comfortable.  Course, you don't necessarily want to wear your banana yellow sweat pants on a plane or in the car where you may or may not have to get out at rest stops so maybe try something like this.  It's a pretty red skirt that's soft with a casual scoop neck-T that looks nice and also still feels nice after the third hour of sitting in the same spot. ;) xP

This is just a layout of an outfit I love.  Plain and simple, but it catches the eye.  The belt really pops out with matching flats that are comfortable for walking and of course, your sunglasses and your handy-dandy purse that you can't go without. ;)

Okay guys, last but not least, I'm going to take Taylor Swift as my celebrity of the week who supports skirts and being cute. (:

The Key To Keys

((Sorry re-posting for technical issues))

Hey so I decided I wanted to start doing some DYI posts. *waits for the applause*
*continues when none comes*
There's quite a few things that I do that I think are pretty great and I was so happy when I thought of or saw someone else doing it.   So I'll be posting some DYIs in the future.  Hope you like them!

I know guys, I know, I'm so great, cause no one else in the history of man kind has ever thought of putting up do it yourself posts. xP

Alright, so, *claps hands together*  Let's get started with a simple one that's really useful.

So, I'm the person who always gets to my door and remembers after I smash my nose into the door that I need to get my key to unlock it.  But then I have to stand there jugling a million things while at the same time trying to find the right key out of this:
So what I decided to do was be smart and get different coloured permanent markers and just sharpie them so that I knew which ones were which.  But unfortunately sharpies don't apparently work on metal and it all rubbed off giving me a black thumb.  Quite Literally.   So, I had pretty much given up until I saw a picture online of someone who was so much smarter than me!

They were completely genius and used nail polish.  So all you have to do is put a coat of nail polish on and maybe a layer of clear to make it shiny and they're cute and stupid proof!

You can also do cute designs and customize them if you want. (: Pretty much the options are limitless.
So yeah, there you go!  Hope it helps you next time you're standing at your door and you have to find your key in a key factory. xP

Belle

Yes? No? Maybe So?

So I went to my interview and it went well except for the fact that they don't hire people under 18.... So I'm standing there after waiting a half hour for the manager going...

WHAT?!

So *ahem* Yes, but then I went to three other restaurants.  Two of which told me to apply online.  I went to the third and they took me in and sat me down for an interview on the spot!
*Me on the inside* Are you serious?

They actually asked for me to come back today for a second interview!  I'm really excited but I'm worried that I wont be hired for some weird reason....

After the nerve racking interview where they asked me mind straining questions like what days I am available to work I went home, tired and with a headache.  I went online to fill out the online application for the other two restaurants and called, as directed, when I was done with their personal interrogation.

Guess what they said.... "We are unable to hire people under 18 because of the handling of alcohol. If you come back next year we'd be happy to hire you, but unfortunately we cannot while you are still 17."
........................

Yeah..... basically....

But!  I shall not be a pessimist!  I did get asked to come back today for a second interview so I'm hoping I'll get hired here!

*crosses fingers*
Here goes nothing.

To Be Or Not To Be.....A Hostess

Hey guys,   so today I'm going in for an interview for a hostess position at Macaroni Grill and I'm really excited but also super nervous.

I feel so old, but then I also feel way too young to be getting a job.  I've been asking people all day for prayers because I'm so nervous and can't shake the jitters I have.  So far everyone has said I"ll be a great hostess and I'm really starting to wonder if this is a conspiracy.  I mean, it makes me feel so great, like I can do this and I just need more confidence but thanks everyone for believing in me. (:

*Nervous smile* I really love you guys even if I'm not sure I believe you.

But.... what if I don't make it through, what if they kick me out and tell me to go grow up and come back when I'm not a kid anymore.  What if the manager is scary!? Don't make me go. :(

*recollects myself and takes a deep breath*

Now, I'm going to go in there and I'm going to ace this.  I"m going to try my best to believe all of you and let that show in my attitude.  Those people wont know what hit them and they'll have to hire me. xP

*walks off dramatically*

P.S.  My trust fall on you guys better not end up like this. xP

True To You

Hey guys, so I wanted to share a really cool blog I follow.  They just started up a little bit ago and they're really great!

It's three girls who run it, Caroline, Isabelle and Mercy.  They're all super adorable and wonderful, and I really loved their blog when I stumbled upon it and have been following it ever since.

So....yeah... this is me with other people's blogs.... xP

Anyway, today I was reading a post of theirs and it was so good that I decided I needed to put it up on my blog,
so that more people could look at it. *coughsandmaybeseewhatIwantminetobeascoolascoughs* xP

Unlike me, they actually keep a great schedule and post on time with great ideas.  They give adorable/practical DYIs and chick fashion advice and styles as well as sweet music suggestions.  It's really easy to follow and a good read!

Come cut me some slack though....

So yeah, maybe take a few seconds and go check it out! I'll make it really easy for you and put the link here so that laziness doesn't have to be an excuse. xP

For I Am A Fool

Happy Belated April Fools Everyone!
So, I love April fools, but I hate it when it goes extreme in both ways.  First way is when people get way too offended bye small cute and funny pranks.  It's all good fun and people should chill out.  But I also hate it when people get way to intense with their pranks and they become mean.  I don't like the ones that make you gag, such as anything to do with your toothbrush, unless it's just putting a bit of dye into the toothpaste but when people go all out and are horribly mean it's just not fun anymore.  So Here are a few cute, fun and easy ones you can do in like two seconds that will anyone think twice.
Also, I know they're all fun because I've fallen for all of them before.

Dye your milk. ;)  Green is more fun and a lot of times makes people wonder if they should drink it. :P

Put some tape under the mouse. You'll be a devious little devil and watch the victim get all frustrated thinking that the computer is frozen. :P

This, well, this is just perfect.

Okay so you love your best friend and you love prank calling, so here's an amazing way to get a nice punch in the arm that shows how much your friend loves you back. xP  Maybe leave out the 50 bucks bit though, I'm savin' up for college, I gotta be stingy. xP

This just makes me laugh so much. xD

This is really easy and really great.  nail Polish on the soap bar.  They'll wonder what the heck happened.  But you might go in later and be a victim of your own deed if you're not careful. :P

Okay and I know this one you would never do but it just cracks me up and I thought I'd throw it in here. xP

Hope Everyone had a great safe April fools day!

Belle

A Monstrous Tragedy

Hey,  I'd like to touch on a sad topic tonight.  I know there are so many teens out there who struggle through so much.  Today's society leaves many bent and broken people in its wake.  It's completely horrible how many sad things are left to happen.  A huge majority of the people being hurt by our world's lack of care and love are the teens of this generation.

There are more broken homes, relationships, friendships, and all the like, today than there ever has been in all of history.  Everything starts with the home, and this world is full of problems because there are more and more broken homes.  Even the homes that look fine from the outside are often cracked and glued on the inside just struggling to hold on for names sake.  It is a ridiculous place to be in, but it's undeniably the state that we are now stuck in.

The people affected most by the brokenness of homes today are the kids, and more specifically the teens.  I have friends that are from awful home situations and I can't see how that is fair.  I know it is very well possible to have a good, loving environment at home, as farfetched as that may seem to most teens.  It is possible.

A teen needs security, and without that they are as unstable as a a grain if sand in a rushing river.  It's not fair to them for their support to be swept right out from under them.  In time of change and confusion, teenagers should be able to count on someone.  If they can't do that, what do you expect them to do?  Obviously they will try to work things out on their own, but that is so hard, and hardly ever ends happily.  They are left with very few options.

Luckily, today there are also lots of help centers and sites for teens.  All you have to do is get on and talk with someone.  If you're having a bad day they can really help you to see things more clearly.  Teens around the world hurt themselves everyday for the mistakes or misunderstandings of others.  This is a monstrous tragedy.  The teens of today are the adults of tomorrow and if people do not help them to grow strong and secure how are they expected to hold up the future on their shoulders?  Is that even a fair request?  I hardly think so.

Unfortunately, my ranting wont stop all the problems in the world.  But I hope people can see that it isn't all the teens' faults.  Yes they can make their own decisions, but it's not their fault that their family isn't there for them to be able to turn to.  And maybe they are, but the relationships they've built up aren't strong enough for the kids to feel safe enough to talk to their parents or older siblings about things they're struggling with.

It should not be looked down on.  Everyone suffers at points in their lives from depression or insecurities.  If you don't suffer from this then you have either blocked out the painful parts of your life, or you truly do have a strong home life.  Be thankful, but don't judge those who are less fortunate than you.  They are only making their way as best they can in life.  If anything, give them a helping hand and show them that there is hope, that there are true friends out there, and not everyone wants to take advantage of them, or that people do care and notice them even if they feel like they are useless.

You'r probably wondering why I keep going back to the home life thing.  It does make sense, however.  99% of the time bad situations can be traced right back to a broken home.

I apologize for the long post, but being a teen myself, I felt the need tonight to share a little of what I thought about teen depression and insecurity problems.  It's a big problem in today's society and it shouldn't be ignored.  These kids should be handled with care and love, to counter all the hate and abusing they've been through.  They deserve nothing less than the most gentle touch and softest words that anyone can say.

Truly yours,
Belle
