Kiss The Girl

So,  I'm starting to think about this whole kissing thing...
Okay, now don't jump to conclusions,

I am just thinking about what the world around us tells us about kissing, and such.  It's getting close to Valentine's Day and this seems mildly relevant...sorta?

There's so many different kinds of kissing.
 Let's think and list them...

Hand kiss:
This is such a sweet gesture.  Maybe you're thinking it's outdated and corny, but you tell me what your heart is doing when a boy pulls your fingers to his lips gently and kisses them.  It's such a compliment.  He respects you enough to kiss even just your hand.  I think it's a very handsome and gentlemanly gesture that should come back into fashion.

Cheek kiss:
This one I have to say is cute.  That's simply it. It's a playful sign of affection that is usually accompanied with giggles.  It's quick and happy.
Kiss on the lips:
 So sweet.
Movies use this one so much.  It looks so easy... is it?
Nerve racking the first time and probably even awkward if you've never done it before. You lean in and join the ranks of all those before you who have participated in the saliva exchange.  Yes, put your mouth onto his mouth, and try no to think about accidentally getting sick from it...  Yeah, you're so careful with not drinking after people, and not eating off the same utensils, but don't worry, just swap spit and don't think about it. xP

I'm sorry.... it is sweet, I know, and it's normal, but seriously.... think about it... it's weird...
Why the heck do we do it?
I really don't know to be honest...
It's kinda super random, but whatever,

Forehead kiss:
This one shows his strength and protectiveness over you.  I think this one is quite important.  Just look around.  All the wonderful dad's and most caring protecting people are portrayed in giving the girl a loving kiss on the forhead.  It let's her know she's loved and cared for.  She doesn't have to doubt.  It's not perverted, it's not selfish, it's a gift, and it could capture any girl's heart.

Snogging:
Just.... Basically you forgot you were a rational human being, and any poor soul who happens to pass by is scared for life.
So just keep in mind that there's almost always someone that will walk by, as you sit there getting steamy.
Keep it PG please, for our sakes.

Kissing, if it's small and gentle is sweet, and nothing is wrong with it, but let's all do each other a favor and keep ourselves from going overboard and making everyone around uncomfortable.  You may be having a great time, but that doesn't mean that girl trying to read her book across the place is okay with it.

It's a beautiful thing, just be careful not to get carried away, you could very easily end up regretting it later.

If you love this boy and he loves you, he'll be completely willing to wait for you and respect you in the way he kisses you. ;)

Anyway, kissing in any fashion, in my opinion is quite weird, just to think about why the heck people do it.  It's sweet, or cute, or whatever, but why do we do it?
How the heck did it start?
 I dunno....

Anyway, hope I haven't scared you, hope you're having a great day and a splendid February so far.
Happy Early Valentine's Day!

Truly yours,
Belle

Holy Guacamole!

Wow...

Is it just me or are shooter games really violent these days?  Maybe they've always been violent and I've just now been noticing to a lot of them...

I dunno, what do I know. they're all the same.
Violent.

So,... is this at least a little bit worrisome to anyone besides me?
I mean, I'm not saying they're not fun cause that would be a lie.  They are very fun and addicting, but is that really something we morally upstanding people should be playing into our homes?

Like, Halo and Uncharted are great, but when your younger sibling walks in and is wondering why there's red on the edge of the scene and you're shouting, "Just die! Oh my gosh! I shot you in the head!" you should probably stop and take a reality check and reassess what's wrong with that picture.
A lot.

I know you're all sitting there going,
"COME ON!
It's just a shooter game, chill out."

And, yeah, it is just a shooter game, that's true.  And I don't think the game is bad, I think it's fun too.  I'm just wondering if there should be more questions when it comes to letting these things so casually into our living rooms.  They say one of the biggest doors into your home for the Devil are your screens.  What you play and broadcast there is like an open check for the Devil to play with and manipulate.

If you play a mild shooter game with aliens then why not play a shooter game with people as the targets? Same thing right?

Yes, you are laughing at me, I know, I sat there and made this face as well when someone said this to me the first time,
"this person has no idea what she's talking about..."

But really, think about it.

Also, there's got to be a morally lowering factor because while I know it's not the main reason there are a lot of shootings, because that would be a lie, it does have a hand in the influence of it all.  Now I know you guys aren't crazy lunatics that are easily influenced by playing a game of halo with a couple of your buddies,

but... would it really hurt to consider the possible affects it might have as a whole on society?

I know you're sitting there going,
"She is going to try and prove that all shooter games are evil and that we should all stop playing them and go back to tinker toys because those are safe hazard-less toys..."

Nope, nope nope, that's not at all what I'm trying to do.  Don't worry, I'm just thinking out loud.  That's pretty much all I do on here.  Think out loud and hope it gets others thinking too.  I very much enjoy a game of halo with some friends having a good time and laughing being goofballs together. I'm not condemning video games or shooter games, but I am wondering what effects it's had on our modern world and what it shows for our current moral standings.

So maybe think about it?  It's not a school assignment, with an essay due.  It's just food for thought.
Anyway, I better hightail it before I get attacked for touching this subject.

Truly yours,
Belle
