The Facebook Society

I must admit with shame that I have now officially joined the Facebook society.

Facebook is a very interesting thing.  After being on it for 4 days I have made a conclusion.  My conclusion is unbiased because, 1) I have not been on it long enough to be obsessed with it.
And 2) I did not have a dislike for it before I got on.  I'd heard great things about it and everyone was telling me to get on since it was so great.

So, in my opinion, Facebook is a waste of time. I was talking to someone on there and I told them I didn't want to get sucked in so I wouldn't be using it much and that person said something so true and yet a complete lie.  He said that there really wasn't anything to get sucked into.  It's a lie in the sense that you can do so much and be on there for hours without noticing. But it's also true because truly there's nothing you can really do.

When you get on Facebook there is nothing for your brain to grasp.  Therefore, it urges you to stay on longer so that it can find something, anything to grasp onto to help it grow.  The brain is constantly growing and learning, it gains some sort of knowledge from everything it does.  But when you present Facebook to your brain, you are asking for a buffering stall.

Things you can do on Facebook:

Stalk people
Post insane amounts of random comments
Post stupid cat memes
'Friend' people
'Like' stuff
Melt your brain.

You sit hours on facebook letting your brain melt and you get depressed because your life can't possibly be half as amazing as all these fabulous people you're stalking and so you walk everywhere head down and depressed about your life.

In your deperate state you try post things.  Lame selfies, hearts next to your significant other's name and other stupid things like what you had for breakfast.  At the end of the day you stare at the screen and wonder what the heck got into you to post all that stuff.

Don't be a Bookface.

Belle

The Deep Depths Of My Soul

When I was at theater today, sitting in the long grueling 9 1/2 hour practice I was given a sheet of questions to fill out for the bios.  These questions were deep and intense to say the least.  If I may say so, they were so personal and intruding of my personal life that I had a hard time answering them.  I truly know no one who would have asked me these questions.  No one in their right mind that is.

But yes, so I labored over these intense questions and had to ponder deeply on them making sure not to put the wrong answer for it would surely be detrimental to my entire life. Right? xP  And now you're probably sitting there going,

Therefore I shall post up the questions and my answers because I'm sure you are all very interested to know now. xP

1. How many years have you been in theater? Three  ((What is this, some sort of background check? What do you think I do with my life?))

2.  What's your favourite part?  The amazingly awesome people. (:

3.  What do you love most about your character?  The fact that I'm the exact opposite.  She's such a judger. xp

4.  If you were stranded on an island, who would you want to be with?  Definitely my true love.  I mean... It'd be a perfect get away. xP

5.  Favourite Celebrity? Hugh Jackman

6.  If you could have a super power what would it be? ((I feel like this one is infringing on my personal privacy...  xP ))  Invisibility, no question.  I could play a million more pranks. xD

7.  What would you do if you won the lottery?  I would travel to Europe.  ((Are you planning on stalking me?  All I ask is that there's no flash photography because that would mess with the enjoyment of nature.))

8.  What is the talent you wish you had?  Photographic memory. Boom.  ((What is this?  Put down Belle day?  Point out her faults, tell her how incapable she is to face life because she doesn't have a photographic memory talent.  I feel insulted and degraded. xP))

9.  If you could breed two animals together which would you choose?  ((First off,... would this count as mutation/cloning and such?  If so I do believe this borders on the wrong in my religious beliefs. xP  Also, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO STEAL MY SCIENTIFIC GENIUS!))  I would breed pigs and eagles = Flying pigs.

10.  If you could steal one thing without consequence what would it be?  ((Are you implying that I steal things? Or that I want to steal things?)) And I would steal the heart of a man. ;)   Yes, deep.  I know.

11.  Favourite Disney movie?  ((Alright, just stop.  You don't ask someone this question.... this is like prying into my childhood.  That's not even fair.)) Beauty and the Beast, for sure. ;)

12.  Favourite Genre of Music?  90's  ((Go a head, laugh and then go look up what the heck 90's music entitles. xp ))

13.  Biggest fear? ((f you're planning on making this come true I will kill you..... except for the fact that I would be dead if you made it come true..... ))  Drowning in a confined space.

And there you have it!  All my personal questions. ;)  I truly loved the questions, I thought they were great, and funny.  Perfect for bio questions. ;)  I had fun answering them, but I was telling the truth that it took a long time to think them through and answer the right way. xp I go back tonight for another practice.  It's not quite as long, only *counts on fingers* 5 hours this time. ;) xP  I am having fun though. ;)  Don't worry. ;)

I hope you all have a nice day, but maybe not as crammed full as mine. :P

Truly yours,
Belle

Easter Monday Burnout

Gosh, Easter Monday.  I can't believe Easter is already done and gone.  It's not fair how fast life is going.   So Easter Monday is one of those days that you just don't want to get up in the morning.  But you have to because you've got classes.  So, your alarm clock blares into your ears and tries to drag you out of bed but if you're like me you are anything but willing.

You stayed up late last night, had way too much sugar and everything else you gave up, but the whole time you kept telling yourself,
It's Easter for Heaven's sake, the lord has risen, have another chocolate and glass of Soda.
So, here you are the next day on your way to classes,

And in Math you use the poor guy next to you as a personal pillow for your nap that you have no say against.

At lunch you try to wake up with some coffee and caffeine because you've got a whole day ahead of you full of things to do. So you sit there looking awful trying to exercise your eyelids and master them so they don't start drooping again.

Course, then your friends come over and go, "You look kinda tired."

Yup.... you are a winner.

So, at the end of the day you just want to go to bed even though you should probably be doing something productive.  I have a 9 1/2 hour Theater practice today that goes until 10:30 pm and I have an hour drive home so I shall come home and do this tonight:

I sincerely hope that your teachers or boss had pity on you and didn't make you work or go to classes on Easter Monday, but most likely they did make you step up and be a responsible being.  Or... as much of a responsible being you can be while in a zombie state. xP  But in that case, I completely sympathize with you and wish you the best of luck in your day. ;)

Truly yours,
Belle

P.S.  I'm sorry about not posting yesterday I should have said I wasn't going to post on Easter, but I guess I didn't think about how busy it would be. :P

Enchantingly Easter (:

So Easter is this Sunday.  I'M SO EXCITED!!  I always love Easter.  The spring flowers, sunshine, and it's just a light, sweet, and wonderful holiday. (:  So here are a few things that I love to do for Easter that are easy and super adorable. (:
Dip Dye Hard Boiled Eggs
First off, an all time tradition that's really great and fun for all ages would be dying the eggs.
All you need to do is hard-boil some eggs, then set up a few different colored bowls of food color dye and dip them in.  Sometimes you have to dip the a few times to get the color you want but it's really a great fun project for the littles if they want to get involved in the cooking. (:
Just be sure to set it up where the dye wont stain anything.  Then you've got cutely colored eggs for eating and making deviled eggs with. ;)

If you want to get creative with it and have some extra time you could also take some silver or gold sharpie markers and put designs on some solid colored eggs for a little extra flare. (:

 Dip Dye Ballet Flats
Now I really love this one.  It takes a bit more effort, but I saw someone doing it and I thought it was super smart.  Easter is full of light colors and there's nothing better than matching shoes so why not customize your shoes?

Materials:
- ballet flats (mine are poly satin and faux suede from H&M, but works best with natural fabrics like suede and cotton) (similar here)
- RIT liquid dye ( purple, fuschia, and teal)
- measuring spoons
- gloves
Steps:
1. Create your dye baths. First, boil water. You will need about 4 liters.  For the fuschia dye bath, pour about 1 1/4 liters of water, along with 3 tablespoons of salt into a container. Then, add about 3 tablespoons of fuschia RIT dye. For the purple dye bath, pour about 1 1/4 liters of water, along with 3 tablespoons of salt into a container.  Then, add about 2 tablespoons of fuschia RIT dye and 3 tablespoons  purple RIT dye.  After, for the teal dye bath, pour about 1 1/4 liters of water, along with 3 tablespoons of salt into a container.  Then, add about 3 tablespoons of teal.
2.  If your ballet flat has a bow, you can tape it to the inside to prevent it from dying. Then for the fuschia/pink ballet flat version, quickly dip the front end of the flat into the fuschia dye bath. Then dip only about 1" into the dye bath for a couple minutes, so the tip of the flat is richer in color. Let this dry. For the purple/teal ballet flat version, quickly dip the front end of the flat into the purple dye. Then dip only about 1" into the dye bath for a couple minutes, so the tip of the flat is richer in color.
3.  To finish up the purple/teal version, paint on the teal dye with the sponge brush.  Leave a gap of about 1 1/2" unpainted.
4. Afterwards, run the sponge brush under water until fully clean. Then, paint on water at the edge to smoothen the ombre. Let fully dry.

String Easter Eggs

These are the coolest.  I really love these and they're actually not too hard!

Just stick a chocolate or piece of candy in the water balloon and then mixing either craft glue or mod-podge glue with water and dipping the string into it to wrap around the balloon.  When it's dry, pop the balloon and you've got yourself a string Easter egg!
You can also make larger ones for decorating purposes by using bigger balloons. (:

 Construction Paper Bunny Ears
Pretty plain and simple.  I'm pretty sure everyone made those Indian feather ones in grade school and this is pretty much the same.  Just grab a stapler, some scissors and some white (or brown if you'd prefer a brown bunny) and pink construction paper!

Bunny Cookies

This is for all the bakers.  If you are making some Easter cookies and you'd like to personalize them to make everyone compliment you, you might like this idea.  Hardly takes any time at all.  Quickly clip a bit for the ears and poke little eye dots to make your cookies little bunny babies. (:

I really hope you all enjoyed these ideas!  Even if you don't make them, reading about stuff you wish you did is still fun too. xP  Hope you guys have a bright and pleasant Easter. (:

Truly yours,
Belle

P.S.  I will not be posting tomorrow which is Good Friday, or on Holy Saturday.  I hope your weekend goes well and you all rest up, unlike me, who will be working two shifts and on Easter Sunday.... *hd*  Heaven help me.  xP

Modern Music Agenda

I was in the car the other day and I heard a song that I really liked. (:  I thought I'd post it up.
It's pretty slow, but it's got a really nice tune and sweet lyrics.  These days it's hard to find songs that are sweet and simple like this one.  Lately I've been noticing that most songs have to include some sort of innuendo and I really don't think it's necessary.

So I'm going along, you know, my usual ride in the car to theater rehearsals, listening to the radio

And I'm having a good time singing my heart out to '22' by Taylor Swift when 'Locked Out Of Heaven' by Bruno Mars comes on.  I like Bruno Mars.  He's got a great voice, but when I heard this song....

'Oh my gosh! A new Bruno Mars song, this is so goo--HOLY CANNOLI! DID HE SERIOUSLY JUST SAY THAT?!'

To say the least I was shocked and appalled.  Sure, whatever, sex is a word and it refers to something real and it's fine and all, but to sing about such things in songs, so blatantly is quite shocking.

It's a very normal thing now, actually.  You're constantly getting songs with very blatant dirty meanings in them.  I don't care who you are, singing about sleeping with girl after girl or streaking in the park last Friday night isn't exactly stellar behavior.  I'm not saying they're not good songs.  believe me, they've all got great tunes and are fun to sing along to or play at parties, but if you think about it, our music industry is really going down a sad road.

Only a little bit ago music still held some standards.  Honestly, you can make a good tune without throwing in dirty meanings. When I hear a great song that has things thrown into it just for the heck of it I can't help but face-palm

There are plenty of amazing songs out there without dirty meanings or cuss words thrown in so why do people feel the need for it?  It doesn't enhance the lyrical genius at all.  Love songs now a days are no longer about love, but about lust.  And that is a sad state to be in.  The guy that says your sex takes him to paradise is not worth dating because he's not looking at you and what he can give you to make you happy.  He's looking at your body and what he can get from it to make himself happy.  And taking that mindset and putting it into a song is sickening.

It's common sense guys, just think about it.
Which would you choose?  The man who would sing to give his all to you because he loves you and all your perfect imperfections?  Or the guy that says your sex takes him to Paradise?  What do we want to raise up in our generation?  Young men who genuinely care or boys who just want to use?

Das right, I went there.

Truly yours
Belle

Junk, Junk, And More Junk!

Hey!  Garage sale day!

So.... I've never done a garage sale before.  I'm kinda a pack-rat.  I always feel like there must be something we'll possibly need that old highchair in the garage for.  I also have a hard time parting with baby toys because eventually I may need them so seeing adorable things that I loved as a kid be sold is so sad for me.  But today I got over that and did it!
Booya!

But yes, I dumped my junk on the driveway and labeled it all and actually got a good bit of money. (:

Course... I had to sit out there in case someone found my bop-it toy and bouncy ball collection too tempting. xP
*watches suspiciously and checks everyone as they leave*

I'm kidding, I'd never be that strict.  If they really want that stuffed animal... then, sure just take it.  It's all going to goodwill if I don't sell it anyway. xP

So yeah! stop by! My address is....*pauses* Wait.... If I gave you my address it would be detrimental to my safety...  You're probably all sweet girls that read my blog, *coughifanyonereadsmyblogatallcough* but there's the one in a million chance that you could be a man-eating serial killer that will kidnap me and who hates life.  Now how depressing would life be if you had to live with a person who hates it?

Probably pretty awful....

Anyway, even if you weren't and I put my address up I'd probably forget and you'd show up and I'd be like......
 And then,
 *rolls eyes* stalkers...

Hope you all had a great day!
I apologize for the randomness of my post.

Truly yours,
Belle

P.S. I did get the job as a Hostess if any of you were wondering, (:

The Invention Of The Skirt

Can I just say, I love skirts?  There are skirts for all types of people, in all types of colors.  It's amazing!  Unfortunately I don't think girls take advantage of skirts like they should.  I don't see nearly enough cute skirt/shirt combos.   I'm sure more guys will see your femininity if you're wearing an adorable outfit.  A skirt just says, 'Lady'.  Who doesn't want guys seeing them as ladies?  Beautiful, independent, self-respecting ladies. (:  Some people say that girls wearing skirts is like lowering yourself, but seriously we have the awesome gift of cute skirts so why not wear them?!  The only things being subjected are guys, to your amazingness. ;)  So there, all you people who like to stomp ladies' rights to be feminine!

So I put together some adorable outfits that I would so wear and actually have myself. (:  I personally like to go for the longer more knee length skirts.  Mini shirts make me paranoid, I mean,... there's always going to be wind, even if it's from one of those gosh darned sidewalk vents, and if your skirt is longer then it's safer. xP  Plus there's more cuteness to show if there's more of it. ;)  Some of these pictures are mini skirts but really they'd look just as cute a bit longer.  but these are the outfits that I love and would like to throw out there as we're getting into the spring season. (:

I love this look, with the ruffle skirt and sweater it's simple but it really is a sweet outfit.  The belt really pulls it together, (:

Adorable.  I live in the South so this is the perfect outfit for a Saturday night at a dance hall. (:        Just slip on some boots and go scootin' xP

This outfit is really sweet for a shopping day or maybe a casual movie date. (:

So, I love this outfit, but I'd have to say I'd go without the tights.  Either way, this is super sweet for a dinner with family or friends and if you're going somewhere.  Again, a very Southern outfit that would look great with boots. (:

Alright, so I travel all the time, I take road trips, I fly.  Pretty much everything and something that goes along hand in hand with traveling is being comfortable.  Course, you don't necessarily want to wear your banana yellow sweat pants on a plane or in the car where you may or may not have to get out at rest stops so maybe try something like this.  It's a pretty red skirt that's soft with a casual scoop neck-T that looks nice and also still feels nice after the third hour of sitting in the same spot. ;) xP

This is just a layout of an outfit I love.  Plain and simple, but it catches the eye.  The belt really pops out with matching flats that are comfortable for walking and of course, your sunglasses and your handy-dandy purse that you can't go without. ;)

Okay guys, last but not least, I'm going to take Taylor Swift as my celebrity of the week who supports skirts and being cute. (:

Belle

The Key To Keys

((Sorry re-posting for technical issues))

Hey so I decided I wanted to start doing some DYI posts. *waits for the applause*
*continues when none comes*
There's quite a few things that I do that I think are pretty great and I was so happy when I thought of or saw someone else doing it.   So I'll be posting some DYIs in the future.  Hope you like them!

I know guys, I know, I'm so great, cause no one else in the history of man kind has ever thought of putting up do it yourself posts. xP

Alright, so, *claps hands together*  Let's get started with a simple one that's really useful.

So, I'm the person who always gets to my door and remembers after I smash my nose into the door that I need to get my key to unlock it.  But then I have to stand there jugling a million things while at the same time trying to find the right key out of this:
So what I decided to do was be smart and get different coloured permanent markers and just sharpie them so that I knew which ones were which.  But unfortunately sharpies don't apparently work on metal and it all rubbed off giving me a black thumb.  Quite Literally.   So, I had pretty much given up until I saw a picture online of someone who was so much smarter than me!

They were completely genius and used nail polish.  So all you have to do is put a coat of nail polish on and maybe a layer of clear to make it shiny and they're cute and stupid proof!

You can also do cute designs and customize them if you want. (: Pretty much the options are limitless.
So yeah, there you go!  Hope it helps you next time you're standing at your door and you have to find your key in a key factory. xP

Truly yours,
Belle

Yes? No? Maybe So?

So I went to my interview and it went well except for the fact that they don't hire people under 18.... So I'm standing there after waiting a half hour for the manager going...

WHAT?!

So *ahem* Yes, but then I went to three other restaurants.  Two of which told me to apply online.  I went to the third and they took me in and sat me down for an interview on the spot!
*Me on the inside* Are you serious?

They actually asked for me to come back today for a second interview!  I'm really excited but I'm worried that I wont be hired for some weird reason....

After the nerve racking interview where they asked me mind straining questions like what days I am available to work I went home, tired and with a headache.  I went online to fill out the online application for the other two restaurants and called, as directed, when I was done with their personal interrogation.

Guess what they said.... "We are unable to hire people under 18 because of the handling of alcohol. If you come back next year we'd be happy to hire you, but unfortunately we cannot while you are still 17."
........................

Yeah..... basically....

But!  I shall not be a pessimist!  I did get asked to come back today for a second interview so I'm hoping I'll get hired here!

*crosses fingers*
Here goes nothing.

Truly yours,
Belle

To Be Or Not To Be.....A Hostess

Hey guys,   so today I'm going in for an interview for a hostess position at Macaroni Grill and I'm really excited but also super nervous.

I feel so old, but then I also feel way too young to be getting a job.  I've been asking people all day for prayers because I'm so nervous and can't shake the jitters I have.  So far everyone has said I"ll be a great hostess and I'm really starting to wonder if this is a conspiracy.  I mean, it makes me feel so great, like I can do this and I just need more confidence but thanks everyone for believing in me. (:

*Nervous smile* I really love you guys even if I'm not sure I believe you.

But.... what if I don't make it through, what if they kick me out and tell me to go grow up and come back when I'm not a kid anymore.  What if the manager is scary!? Don't make me go. :(

*recollects myself and takes a deep breath*

Now, I'm going to go in there and I'm going to ace this.  I"m going to try my best to believe all of you and let that show in my attitude.  Those people wont know what hit them and they'll have to hire me. xP

*walks off dramatically*

Truly yours,
Belle

P.S.  My trust fall on you guys better not end up like this. xP
